CECILIO M. HIDALGO, SR.
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Hidalgo, Sr., Filipino, born in 1923, founded the first Trans-Phil company more than 30 years ago in 1973. He graduated from the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N. Y., U. S. A. in 1950 with a degree of B. S. in Marine Engineering. Joined the Philippine Navy in 1950 as a commissioned Ensign and is currently an inactive Reservist. From 1953 to 1964, he worked for Caltex Philippines, Inc. where he held various positions in their Batangas Petroleum Refinery. He was also the Vice-President for the Tanker and Petroleum Division of Luzon Stevedoring Corporation from 1964 to 1975.
He is currently the Chairman of the Board of all Trans-Phil companies which include Manila Credit Corporation (MCC), Trans-Phil Builders Corporation (TBC) and Trans-Phil Management Corporation (TMC). Mr. Hidalgo, Sr. is a member of the Manila Golf and Country Club, Manila Polo Club, Alabang Golf and Country Club, Baguio Country Club and the Metropolitan Club.
ROLAND H. GARCIA
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Garcia, Filipino, born in 1952, is a graduate of the University of the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
As one of the first employees of Trans-Phil, he joined the group in 1973 as an Administrative Officer. He is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of all Trans-Phil companies which include Manila Credit Corporation (MCC), Trans-Phil Builders Corporation (TBC) and Trans-Phil Management Corporation (TMC).
Mr. Garcia is a member of the Alabang Golf and Country Club and the Orchard Golf and Country Club. Mr. Garcia was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Makati-Ayala.
REYNALDO G. NAZARENO
Director
Mr. Nazareno, Filipino, born in 1935, is a graduate of the Mapua Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from the University of the Philippines.
He served as an officer in the AFP Philippine Navy and was Vice-President of LUSTEVECO. He also served as President of Trans-Phil Trading and Services Corporation until his retirement.
ROMEO H. GECOLEA
Director
Mr. Gecolea, Filipino, born in 1940, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (Honors Curriculum) from the University of the Philippines (Los Baños). He also has a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Journalism and a PhD in Mass Communication and Development from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
He started out as an Agricultural Extension Officer of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), was Senior Planner/ Programmer and eventually became the Director of the UNDP Asia & Pacific Programme For Development Training & Community Planning up until his retirement. He is presently a consultant for the United Nations on project-to-project basis.
Engr. ALEX B. DALMACION
Director
Engr. Dalmacion, Filipino, born in 1960, is a graduate of the Mapua Institute of Technology with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Civil Engineer.
He joined the Trans-Phil family as a Project Supervisor in 1989 and is currently a Director, Vice-President and the Chief Engineer of Trans-Phil Builders Corporation, an affiliate company of MCC and is in charge of all construction projects of the company.LAURO E. SANCHEZ

Mr. Sanchez, Filipino, born in 1959, is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Management. He has had over 20 years job experience in the financing industry starting out as a Credit Investigator. During his previous stint with another financing company prior to joining Manila Credit Corporation (MCC), he started out as Operations Manager, propelled the company to its ISO Certified status as their quality management representative and his last position was Deputy Chief Operating Officer.
He is a certified financing company compliance officer having passed the exam given by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and also a licensed non-life insurance agent.
MARLON B. MERCADO
Assistant Vice-President – Legal
Atty. Mercado, Filipino, born in 1977, passed the Bar in 2001, the same year he earned his Bachelor of Law degree from San Beda College. He also has a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Legal Management from De La Salle University.
He joined Manila Credit Corporation (MCC) in December 1, 2003 and is a SEC-certified financing company compliance officer and currently the Assistant Vice-President for Legal Affairs of MCC.LEONARDO D. GAMBOA
Assistant Vice-President – Accounting/ Treasury and Administration
Mr. Gamboa, Filipino, born in 1958, joined Trans-Phil Management Corporation in 1989 and was recently transferred to Manila Credit Corporation (MCC) as its Assistant Vice-President for Accounting, Treasury and Office Administration.
He is a graduate of the Far Eastern University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting. Past job affiliations include Trans-Phil Management Corp., Insular Lumber Co. (Phils.), Inc. and Char-Phil Marketing, Inc.
